Genesis Adams

Genesis Adams hails from Greensboro, North Carolina where she attended one of the United States top twenty historically black colleges, North Carolina A&T State University, and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.  Upon graduation she was accepted into the national teaching organization, Teach For America, as a 2012 corps member working to close the achievement gap amongst underserved, school systems. After a teaching career within the Delta region of the United States and working for the federal government, she felt God's call on her life to pursue ministry and theological education.  Ms. Adams is a 2020 Master of Divinity candidate at Wake Forest University School of Divinity with plans of becoming a state board certified hospital or university chaplain and pursuing teaching theology at a collegiate level.  Ms. Adams also plans to utilize her experience as a single mom to her son, Josiah, to minister to other single moms and women through various ministry mediums.
