Becky Hartzog, Baptist Campus Minister

Hi, I'm Becky Hartzog, and I am the Associate Chaplain at Wake Forest University.  One part of my responsibilities includes working with an incredible group of students known as the Baptist Student Union.  A native of Alabama, I received my B.A. in Psychology at Samford University in Birmingham and attended seminary in Kentucky.  After working on church staffs in Alabama, Florida, and North Carolina, I finally realized a dream of working full-time with college students when I went to the state of Georgia and served as a Baptist Campus Minister for twelve years.  Then in 1999, I was invited to join the Chaplain's staff here at Wake Forest and have been an avid Deacon fan ever since!!  I have no children of my own, although many students and alumni consider me a "second mom".  My home is shared with two dogs, Abbey and Maggie, and I have recently fulfilled another dream of having my own horse.  Most of my spare time is spent at the barn helping to train my three year old filly, an Arabian/Pinto cross named Sky's Painted Dream. By the end of the summer, I'll be riding her!

My hope is that those of you who check out this web site, will also check out the Baptist Student Union at Wake Forest.  Our goal is to be a place of hospitality to everyone!  If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email me or call me at 336-758-5021.

This beauty is "Dream". Ask Becky about her!
